Prince George of Cambridge attends first day of primary school at Thomas's Battersea on September 7, 2017 in London, England.

Prince George of Cambridge looked nervous as he started school at Thomas's Battersea on Thursday morning, September 7, 2017


The four-year-old Prince George of Cambridge appeared to mumble 'hi' as he approached his new teacher in the school grounds


Prince George of Cambridge rubbed his nose and looked down before looking towards the small group of invited media at the school door
 

The young Prince George - as any child would - looked incredibly nervous as he prepared to start his new life at school

Prince George of Cambridge shook hands with Helen Haslem, head of the lower school, before the third in line to the throne, clutching his daddy Prince William's hand and her's, was shown to his new reception year classroom.

Prince George was not the only royal to join Thomas's Battersea today with his distant cousin Maud Windsor starting on the same day. Maud Windsor is the older daughter of Lord Frederick Windsor and Lady Frederick Windsor

Lord Windsor has made sure that his daughter Maud Windsor looked her smartest on her first day of school.

Lord Frederick Windsor is the son of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, with his father being cousin to the Queen which makes Maud Windsor and Prince George distant cousins

Prince George of Cambridge arrived in his new uniform, which included a blue official school jumper with red logo, blue Bermuda shorts and blue socks with laceless shoes and his name 'George Cambridge' on his bag.

Prince George looked extra smart in his summer uniform, which includes a light blue short-sleeved shirt and navy Bermuda-style shorts, he wore the school’s compulsory navy V-neck pullover with red trim and embroidered school logo, teamed with polished black loafers with a matching navy cotton socks as he arrives in Thomas’s School’s on September 7, 2017

The proud father Prince William had also dressed up for his son’s big day, in a smart-casual look that was perfect for the occasion. He combined a tailored shirt and a single-breasted blazer, from his favorite Mayfair tailors Richard James, with chinos, a brown leather plaited belt and matching suede Russell and Bromley desert boots.

It was a big day for a little Prince George looked extra smart in his uniform – which had been immaculately pressed for the occasion. He was in Thomas’s School’s summer uniform, which includes a light blue short-sleeved shirt and navy Bermuda-style shorts. To top it off he wore the school’s compulsory navy V-neck pullover with red trim and embroidered school logo. The proud father Prince William had also dressed up for his son’s big day, in a smart-casual look that was perfect for the occasion. He combined a tailored shirt and a single-breasted blazer, thought to be from his favourite Mayfair tailors Richard James, with chinos, a brown leather plaited belt and matching suede Russell and Bromley desert boots.
The young Prince George, who was wearing a shirt, navy V-neck pullover, shorts and black shoes on his first day, is thought to be one of the youngest in his year - his father Prince William stayed for a settling in session, they were guided by Helen Haslem, head of the lower school.

Prince William walked in with Prince George along with Helen Haslem, head of the lower school, and stayed for around 40 minutes before his son and the other children stayed for a half day.

Prince William offered a few words of wisdom to his son Prince George after getting him out of the car and looked up at his new school
