Princess Sofia of Sweden wore a pale pink embroidered Ida Lanto gown and Varmland Tiara features a fringe layout with diamond palm leaves set with sparkling diamonds and topped with classic pearls to the 2017 Nobel Prize Award ceremony on December 10, 2017. While the piece featured emeralds on her wedding day, for the Nobel gala the colorful gems had been replaced with classic pearls. The tiara was a gift from Princess Sofia's in-laws, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia.

The sparkling topper's turquoise stones paired perfectly with powder blue gown by Jennifer Blom. Every year around 1,300 guests are invited to the Blue Hall in Stockholm City Hall where the Nobel Prize dinner is served.
